First speaker: Tim Dale, Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO)
Topic 1: Australian Government web site standards
Tim is the Project Manager for australia.gov.au - the Australian Government's Online Entry Point. He also promotes AGIMO's web site standards and better practice advice to government agencies.
Tim will talk about a range of standards issues, including the consolidation of AGIMO's standards and guidance, consistent user experience, branding, and the new australia.gov.au campaign advertising requirement.
Second speakers: Ilana Kaplan and Denise Belling, Hiser Group
Topic 2: Involving users in the design process: the Hiser Element Methodology.
Ilana Kaplan is a Principal Consultant at Hiser Group. In her twelve years with Hiser, Ilana has been involved in all phases of web site analysis, design and evaluation and she has delivered and developed numerous courses and papers on usability and accessibility.
Denise Belling is a Senior Consultant at Hiser Group. Denise has over eight years experience in full lifecycle software design, development and evaluation projects, and she has undertaken significant usability evaluation projects for Internet web sites, Intranets and touch-screen kiosks.
