Topic 1: Navy web site redevelopment
Alexi is managing the redevelopment of the Royal Australian Navy Internet site. Alexi will talk about the improvements to the current web site and the plans for this year's redevelopment. He will also discuss some of the issues he has faced, including the strong internal push to make this web site different to other Australian Government web sites.

Topic 2: 2006 web standards audit of Australian Government home pages
During December 2006, the home pages of 105 Australian Government web sites were audited for compliance with W3C, WAI and Australian Government best practice web standards. Gavin will present the findings of the audit.

Topic 3: Best practice tactics for government web sites
Karl Hayes is the Sales Director at Hitwise. Hitwise is an online intelligence service that provides 1200 global clients with daily insights on how Internet users interact with a broad range of web sites as well as how various organisations use different tactics to attract online customers.
Karl will present best practice tactics that can be employed in government to create greater awareness for your web sites and services. Karl will also demonstrate ways that organisations can drive more qualified traffic to their web sites.
